Turkish Ministry of Defense and others designated SDNs; General Licenses issued

As of October 14, 2019, the Turkish Ministry of National Defence as well as the Turkish Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources and three senior Turkish government officials have been added to the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) list of Specially Designated Nationals (SDNs).  The designations are a response to Turkish operations in Syria and were followed by the issuance of three General Licenses to permit some activities otherwise prohibited.
